Mel and I had a wonderful afternoon with Johnny and Kerry
After a brief stop in Surry Hills, we visited The Rocks (squeezed in a cheeky drink at Bel Mondo) and bathed in the sun on Observatory Hill.
We had a tone of fun… and no-one can laugh like Johnny!

Can’t wait for their wedding in January.

Cinzia in the park

Early on a sunny Saturday morning, Mel and I took a stroll through Lady Macquaries Chair and the Botanical Gardens with Cinzia and her mum.
We had a lot of fun! It is hard to believe Cinzia is only 13 as she was a real natural in front of the camera.

Sculptures By The Sea

Every year on the scenic cliff-side walk between South Bondi Beach and Tamarama Beach, an exhibition of sculptures from Australia and around the world, transforms the headland into a temporary sculpture park.

Mel and I had a wonderful afternoon with Aaron and Nicky. They were a real pleasure to photograph.
Not only are they a great looking couple, but were both interesting and a lot of fun.
We visited Centennial Park and Strickland house.
Looking forward to their wedding in January very much.

A little bit of Sydney – can you picture yourself here?

I decided to do some reconnaissance at a few places in Sydney, to pre-visualise potential areas for a portrait shoot. In this slideshow there are some images from Observatory Hill, The Rocks, Centennial Park and McKell Park.

Observatory Hill can be especially nice at late afternoon during the “Golden-Light” hours.

I have come across a fantastic article on Off Beat Bride.com that would be great for every couple to read before their wedding day.
The last decade has produced an explosion of digital cameras cheaply produced, so that now everyone has one and too often feel they must snap away through-out important events. Unfortunately, the result can be their memories of the occasion are patchy – due to spending too much time looking at a small LCD screen on the back of the camera.

Here is a quote from the first paragraph of the article:

“Welcome to the era of the over-documented wedding, where, even if you’ve hired someone to take photos, every guest has a camera and an iPhone and is tweeting the whole event. They’re there with you, but are they really present?”
